Troubleshooting the connector
401 errors, no organization selected, missing tools, re-consent, and client-specific problems.
"401" or "unauthorized"
The request carried no valid credentials.
- OAuth client: run the authorization again. Tokens expire, and a revoked connection stays revoked.
- API key: check that the header is exactly
Authorization: Bearer pt_..., that the key was not revoked, and that you copied the whole key. - Anonymous access does not exist in production. An account is always required.
"No organization selected" or organization tools are missing
Your connection has no organization bound to it. Two causes:
- The OAuth grant was made without organization access, or you skipped the organization picker. Disconnect the app and connect again, choosing the organization.
- The API key was created without an organization. Create a new key and pick one.
Also check that you are still a member of that organization: access is verified on every call, so being removed from a team takes effect immediately.
Only some tools are available
Public tools (search, tender details, documents, sources, changelog) work for every authenticated caller. Tools that touch search profiles, favorites, alerts and members need organization access.
If the assistant only sees two tools (get_subscription_status,
get_changelog) or reports "no active plan", the
organization's trial or subscription has ended. The owner chooses a plan under
Billing in the app and the full tool set is back on the next call, see
Plans, trial and limits.
If a member-management tool answers with a role error, the account behind the connection is a member, not an owner or admin, see Roles and permissions.
Re-consent after new scopes
When the connector gains new capabilities, existing grants keep the scopes they were given. If your assistant reports missing permissions, disconnect the app in Connected apps and connect again to accept the new scope.
The assistant does not use Polytender
Some clients only use a tool when it seems obviously relevant. Name it explicitly: "Use Polytender to ...". In ChatGPT also check that developer mode is still on, and that the app's description says what it is for.
Copilot Studio: "no token payload" or connection errors
This usually means the authentication type is not the dynamic one. In the tool's settings select OAuth 2.0 with Dynamic discovery, recreate the connection, and sign in again.
Document reading fails
The connector returns the reason: a login-only portal, a scanned PDF, a format we cannot turn into text, or a portal that is temporarily down. See Documents. If you hit a rate limit, wait a minute.
