Connect ChatGPT
Add Polytender as a custom app in ChatGPT using developer mode and OAuth.
ChatGPT connects to custom MCP servers through developer mode. The connect page in the app (AI connector in the sidebar) walks you through the same steps with the URL ready to copy.
Enable developer mode
In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and switch on Developer mode. This is what allows custom apps like Polytender.
Create the app
On the Apps settings page click Create app. Enter:
- Name: Polytender
- URL:
https://api.polytender.com/mcp - Description: a sentence telling the model when to use it, for example "Search public tender notices from official procurement portals and match them against the user's company profile."
- Authentication: OAuth
Then click Create.
Connect and authorize
On the install screen click Connect with Polytender, sign in (or create your free account), pick your organization and click Authorize.
Open a chat and ask about live tenders. If ChatGPT does not use the app on its own, name it: "Use Polytender to find ...".
Notes
- The app is bound to the organization you picked during authorization.
- Developer mode is per user, so every colleague connects their own account.
- Available tools depend on your plan, see Plans, trial and limits.
