Background to the requirement:
The purpose of this procurement exercise is to appoint a main contractor for works to the hospital’s chimneys funded by NHS Estates Safety Funding 2025/26. The chimneys in question, constr…
ucted around 1988, are approximately 38 meters tall from main plant room level and made of mild steel. Externally they are located within an internal courtyard of the hospital (no vehicular access) which is approx. 7.5m above the main plant room level.
