EU Support to Green Transition in Kazakhstan

will focus on: (i) support to an alignment of Kazakhstan's Emission Trading System (ETS) with the European Union's ETS framework while minimizing exposure to risks from the EU CBAM policy; (ii) support to development of Best Available Techniques (BAT) Reference Document (BREF) for various industrial

technologies; (iii) support the design and implementation of Complex Technological Audit of some Industrial Facilities, and (iv) support a national implementation framework for the Water Code’s content.
