Operation Nightingale is a victim focused forensic response model, piloted successfully by Durham Constabulary and proposed for implementation as a 24/7 Norfolk pilot.
The model ensures that any victim aged 18 or over who sustains injuries during a domestic abuse offence has rapid access
to a Forensic Medical Practitioner (FMP). This provides timely, high quality forensic evidence, improved victim care, and strengthens early investigative and charging decisions.
