This will gradually reduce repair and spare part availability, increasing the risk of operational disruptions and higher maintenance costs. The newer type 76 trainsets use PEC3 modules, which are not considered critical
for replacement at this time. The PEC module is a key component of the traction converter, controlling power delivery to the train�s traction motors and auxiliary systems. The design and software are proprietary to ABB/Hitachi, and the veh
